Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News that Turkey "doesn't deserve" F-35 aircraft or jet engines for fighter jets. Netanyahu said: "Turkey is a wonderful country but it is led by a man who openly calls for the destruction of Israel, he (Erdogan) occupies half of Cyprus, a NATO country, he is starting with Greece and other NATO countries, and he also speaks openly about conquering Jerusalem." It should be noted that Cyprus is not a NATO ally. Netanyahu continued: "For a regime that is influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood, an extremist movement that hates America - I don't think they deserve F-35s or jet engines for their fighter jets because this will tip the balance of power in the Middle East."
