Philippines: Another 6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Mindanao island, tsunami warning issued

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, after another 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit earlier. This was reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km below the earth's surface. Meanwhile, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) issued a tsunami warning and recommended that people in coastal areas evacuate immediately to higher ground and move further inland.
