ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl posted on X about details of a conversation he had with U.S. President Donald Trump. "This morning I asked President Trump if he agrees that the Iranians should collect a toll from all ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and he told me that there could be a joint venture between the U.S. and Iran to collect tolls." According to Karl, Trump told him: "We are considering doing this as a joint venture. It's a way to secure it — and also to secure it from a lot of other people. It's a beautiful thing."
