A member of the Houthi Political Bureau, Mohammed al-Buheiti, said in an interview with Al Jazeera that "a response to the US is a matter of time. We will respond to any aggression directed at us or any Islamic country. Arab and Islamic peoples must act, because the US wants to change the entire Middle East. Iran did not ask us to intervene, and we will not wait for them to ask us to act." Additionally, the Houthi Political Bureau stated that "American aggression against Iran represents a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to regional and international security and peace. We declare our support for Iran."
