Sources close to Hamas claim that in talks mediated by Egypt and international envoys, progress has been made on key issues blocking the transition to the next phase of the Gaza Strip ceasefire agreement—primarily the issue of weapons, the Strip's governance mechanism and the continued operation of civilian mechanisms. According to Palestinian reports, an announcement of reaching agreements is expected to be published today. Sources in the Gaza Peace Board referred to the proposal and said, 'The direction looks positive. It appears Hamas is surrendering and agreeing to full and absolute disarmament. The agreement, if signed, is strict and detailed without tricks and without compromises.'
