Minister Strook: 'Demand that Lebanon outlaws Hezbollah. Negotiations must be conducted under fire'

|
Against the backdrop of Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to open negotiations with Lebanon, Settlement Minister Orit Strook called to "place at the center the minimum demand to define Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, to outlaw it and to disarm it. The Lebanese government will be asked to act in accordance with this fundamental principle." Strook added that "negotiations with Lebanon must be conducted under fire, because at their core must be the recognition that Lebanon has utterly failed in the task it took upon itself: to disarm Hezbollah, and that we are not prepared to continue paying the price for its inability."
