The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump "is actively exploring with Azerbaijan the possibility of joining the Abraham Accords along with other key Asian countries - to deepen ties with Israel." This was reported by Reuters news agency citing five sources familiar with the matter, who noted that Azerbaijan and every country in Central Asia already maintain relations with Israel, so "expanding the agreements" is mainly symbolic, meaning - deepening trade and security ties. Some sources indicated that the main obstacle to an agreement is the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as Trump is setting a peace agreement between them as a precondition for joining.
