Foreign Minister Gideon Saar held a press conference for foreign media, during which he showed journalists the disturbing images from the footage of kidnapped Eviatar David in captivity. He also mentioned the statement by Hamas senior official Ghazi Hamad, who welcomed the initiative of several countries to recognize a Palestinian state and claimed that the initiative is "a fruit of October 7." Saar stated that "on October 7 and since then, Hamas has committed crimes like those of the Nazis and ISIS. There are still 50 hostages in Gaza. Hamas and Islamic Jihad use starvation and torture as part of a sadistic propaganda campaign."
