Ultra-Orthodox extremists block section of Highway 4 in protest against yeshiva students' arrest

Highway 4 has been blocked to traffic in both directions near the Coca-Cola Junction following a demonstration by ultra-Orthodox extremists protesting the arrest of draft-dodging yeshiva students. According to police, protesters threw stones at officers and called them "Nazis" - the demonstration was declared illegal. As a result of the protest, the highway is closed from Aluf Sadeh Interchange northbound, with traffic diverted to Highway 471. The highway is also blocked from Em HaMoshavot southbound, with traffic being redirected to Petah Tikva.
