Four children and teenagers were killed and several others injured when a vehicle crashed into a building during a school activity in Springfield, Illinois. According to Chatham police, the vehicle struck three victims outside before driving through the building and hitting another person on the other side. Police reported that all victims were between ages 4 and 18. The driver, who was alone and uninjured, was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
