Rabbis from the Religious Zionist movement met with Ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich and issued a joint statement supporting their position against a deal that would "leave hostages in Hamas hands" and against humanitarian aid. According to them, "We are pleased to hear your firm stance and your understanding of the severity of the situation and the great dangers. We commend your steadfast position as a unified front, courageously standing for the people of Israel, demanding a complete victory over Hamas." Among the signatory rabbis are Dov Lior, Eitan Eisman, Elyakim Levanon, Shmuel Eliyahu, David Hai Hacohen and David Turgeman.
