Kibbutz Erez stated that the military investigation presented to its members regarding the October 7 events "delved deep into battle details" but does not replace the need for a state commission of inquiry. The kibbutz added: "Only a commission of inquiry can thoroughly investigate what happened, and most importantly - ensure such a disaster never happens again. We wish to honor the emergency response team and command center staff who worked tirelessly and risked their lives defending our home."
