Beit Shemesh resident indicted for participating in ultra-Orthodox riot: 'Set fire to vegetation near police station'

|
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment at the Jerusalem District Court against Beit Shemesh resident Yosef Friedman (46) for arson and rioting, after he set fire three times to vegetation near the Beit Shemesh police station during a violent riot that erupted in the city following the arrest of an ultra-Orthodox deserter. The prosecution is requesting that the court order Friedman's detention until the completion of legal proceedings against him.
