The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against a 29-year-old resident of Bana in the Beit Kerem Valley, who was arrested with his wife in their vehicle before a police checkpoint, and while his wife tried to escape from the police, she threw a gun from the car. According to the indictment, the two were driving on Route 85 and passed Karmiel. When they noticed the checkpoint, they stopped some distance away from it, arousing the suspicion of the police officers. When the officer saw there was ammunition in the vehicle, the defendant attacked him and ordered his wife to escape and throw away the weapon. She began driving alone recklessly and threw a loaded FN-type pistol from the car. The investigation against her is still ongoing.
