Road 38 was blocked in both directions at several sections following an ultra-Orthodox protest against the military draft. According to Netivei Israel, the road heading north is blocked at the Tzora Junction, and in the opposite direction there is a blockage at the entrance junction to Virginia Street in Beit Shemesh.
