Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his speech at an event celebrating American Independence Day in Jerusalem that "a few weeks ago, we stopped the massacre in Syria. They entered as-Suwayda and slaughtered men, raped women and shot them. They burned babies." He then claimed, "We saw a Druze citizen lying wounded, and these extremists, these savages, stabbed him, tore out his heart and ate it. It takes a few seconds until death comes. So they ate the victim's heart while he was still alive."
