Draft exemption law distributed, Bismuth responds to criticism: 'That's it, we're moving forward'

|
The draft exemption law by Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Boaz Bismuth was distributed to committee members, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Lithuanian stream leaders gave the "green light" for its advancement in the Knesset already last week. Bismuth stated: "That's it, we're moving forward - with a balanced, responsible draft law that is good for the people of Israel." In response to criticism against the law he is promoting, which is designed to legitimize draft evasion by young ultra-Orthodox men, he claimed that "this law is not here to stabilize a coalition, it's here to stabilize a country. With God's help, we will act and succeed."
