The Health Ministry announced that a malfunction has been reported in a BRCA 1 genetic carrier screening kit produced by Gamidor. The report revealed concerns about potential false negative results. According to the ministry, results from over 90,000 individuals tested using the faulty kit were examined, and 100 samples were identified as potentially having false negative results. The company has corrected the malfunction. Genetic institutes and laboratories that conducted tests using the faulty kit have contacted the tested individuals and will invite them to provide an additional blood sample if necessary.
