Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has ordered the revocation of stay visas for Australian representatives in the Palestinian Authority, as a counter-response to the denial of visas to former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked and Constitution Committee Chairman MK Simcha Rotman, as well as following Australia's intention to recognize a Palestinian state. Saar informed the Australian ambassador to Israel of the decision. Additionally, the Foreign Minister instructed the Israeli embassy in Canberra to carefully examine every official Australian visa request for entry into Israel.
