Cleared for publication: Aviv Atzili identified as second hostage whose body was returned to Israel last week

The IDF and Shin Bet have cleared for publication that the additional fallen hostage rescued last week from Khan Younis is Aviv Atzili, a member of Nir Oz's security response team. Atzili went to fight terrorists on the morning of October 7, fell in battle and was abducted from the kibbutz by Islamic Jihad militants. The body of fallen hostage Yair Yaakov was also recovered during the operation.
