Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for advancing legislation that would define crime organizations as terror groups. Netanyahu, speaking at a subcommittee meeting on combating crime in Arab society, said that "murderous crime organizations are an existential threat. They must be defined as terror organizations." Following the recommendation of the head of the task force on fighting crime in Arab society, Attorney Roy Kahlon, and with support from security officials present at the discussion, including police, Shin Bet and National Security Council, Netanyahu instructed the Justice Minister to urgently convene a meeting with the Attorney General and the task force head to establish legal framework for legislation.
