The prosecution filed an indictment in the Be'er Sheva District Court against Chao Daizen (34), an Ashdod resident and Chinese citizen, for negligent homicide, serious injury and drunk driving. According to the indictment, at the end of 2024, Daizen was driving his vehicle in Ashdod while intoxicated. Upon reaching an intersection, he made an illegal left turn, hit a vehicle that was continuing straight, and the vehicle was pushed onto a traffic island where Noga Noah (16) and her friend were standing. Noah suffered severe injuries and died from her wounds, her friend was moderately injured, and the driver and passenger in the hit vehicle were lightly injured. The prosecution requested to revoke his driver's license and issue an order preventing him from leaving the country.
