Report: Revolutionary Guards officers sent to Lebanon to prepare Hezbollah for war

|
Iran's Revolutionary Guards have rebuilt Hezbollah's military capacity after it was severely damaged by Israel in 2024 by sending officers to the region. This was reported by Reuters news agency, citing sources familiar with the Revolutionary Guards' activities. In an attempt to get Hezbollah back on its feet, the Revolutionary Guards sent approximately 100 officers to oversee re-armament and train fighters. According to the report, the officers who were sent reshaped Hezbollah's command structures to make them more decentralized in order to tighten operational security. According to the report, the rehabilitation mission began immediately after the ceasefire in November 2024, and included planning coordinated attacks from Iran and Lebanon — as reflected in the current round.
