The Health Ministry announced that Dr. Arie Levin's medical license will be suspended for six months following sexual offense charges. The ministry stated that this decision was made in accordance with the Physicians Ordinance, which allows for suspension or restriction of a doctor's license for this maximum period before conviction. Dr. Levin, a pediatric gastroenterology specialist, is charged with multiple serious sexual acts against patients, two of them minors, performed under the guise of legitimate medical treatment. The indictment includes a rape charge involving violence against a patient's mother, along with multiple counts of sexual harassment and forced physical contact.
