Starting this week, under a directive from the Bank of Israel, it will be possible for the first time to deposit post-dated checks for future payment through banks' mobile applications. The Bank of Israel announced that the new service will allow deposits of checks marked 'payee only' up to an amount of 100,000 shekels and for a period of 13 months. The service will be continuous and available 24/7 without any need to visit bank branches. The check image will be stored at the bank and presented for payment on the requested date.
