National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz called on Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan to retract and apologize for his 'extreme and false statements.' Additionally, Defense Minister Israel Katz condemned Golan's remarks, saying that 'anyone who makes false accusations and defames Israel and the IDF during wartime must be ostracized from public life.' Others who condemned and criticized Golan included former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Immigration Minister Ofir Sofer, Education Minister Yoav Kisch, and Likud MK Moshe Saada.
