Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank published its financial statements for 2025, showing a net profit of NIS 5.6 billion — an increase of 3.2% from 2024. The bank's return on equity stood at a high rate of 17%. Mizrahi-Tefahot will distribute a dividend of NIS 702 million — 50% of fourth-quarter profits. In the coming days, all major banks are expected to publish their reports and according to estimates, their combined profits will total more than NIS 30 billion in 2025. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is trying to continue advancing the new tax on bank profits as part of the Economic Arrangements Law.
