Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered remarks at the Israeli Embassy in Washington during a ceremony commemorating Yaron Lishinsky and Sarah Milgrim, who were murdered in a shooting attack near the embassy in May. He stated that "without the State of Israel, there is no future for the Jewish people. This comes at a terrible price. Not only in our cities but also here. Antisemitism is rising due to poisonous propaganda on social media." He added that "in the past we became perfect victims - they slaughtered us, exiled us and burned us. The first thing we created is an army, because 'they rise up to destroy us.' God helps those who help themselves."
