The Committee of Yeshivas, the organization representing all Haredi yeshivas, addressed the draft exemption law, stating that: "The relentless and irrational preoccupation with persecuting the Torah world, which is tantamount to declaring Torah scholars whose Torah study is their profession as the worst criminals, as well as the incomprehensible decision to deprive them and their families of basic living rights, is an unforgivable crime."
