Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published his annual medical report, revealing he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor and radiation treatment. According to Netanyahu, on December 29, 2024, he underwent surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia that ended "successfully and without any complications," and "in the last follow-up, a tiny spot of less than a centimeter was discovered in the prostate. An examination revealed it was a very early stage malignant tumor, without any spread or metastasis. I underwent targeted treatment that removed the problem and left no trace of it." He also noted that he requested to delay publication of the report by two months so it would not be released at the height of the war with Iran, in order "not to allow the terrorist regime in Iran to spread more false propaganda against Israel."
