Bahrain has significantly softened a UN resolution proposal regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, amid opposition from China and Russia to allow countries to use force to ensure vessels can pass safely through the waterway. This was reported by the Associated Press, which obtained the final draft of the proposal. Bahrain's initial draft claimed that countries should be allowed to 'use all necessary means,' including military action in the Strait of Hormuz to secure passage.
