Eli Tahar elected as Yad Labanim chairman, Eli Ben-Shem to serve as organization's president

Eli Tahar was elected as chairman of Yad Labanim organization, which supports bereaved families, after the retirement of Eli Ben-Shem who served in the position for 26 years and will now serve as the organization's president. Tahar, who was elected by a majority vote, lost his brother Yossi 44 years ago; his son Roy, a Nahal Brigade fighter, 24 years ago; and on October 7, he lost his son Yossi Chai, a naval commando officer and Shin Bet operative. Tahar also served as the organization's deputy chairman in recent years.
