The Families Headquarters for the Return of Hostages responded to videos of thousands of ultra-Orthodox children wearing hostage pins that compared military service evaders to hostages in Gaza. "The yellow color and symbols born from pain, hope and national unity have become a unifying symbol of the people of Israel for the hostages — not a propaganda tool or political use of any kind. Appropriating these symbols for political purposes desecrates the moral imperative to return our remaining sons for burial and dishonors the pain of families who have participated in the struggle for over two years and captivity survivors who emerged from hell," the statement said.
