Lithuanian community leader Rabbi Dov Lando addressed reports that U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Hackaby is working to resolve the coalition crisis and prevent early elections, saying: "The greatest danger is that we currently have no protection. The study of yeshiva students is what saves us - 'Torah protects and saves.'" Rabbi Lando was among those who supported dissolving the Knesset last week. The ambassador met with ultra-Orthodox officials last week, including Minister Meir Porush.
