U.S. President Donald Trump announced that starting tomorrow morning, his country will launch an operation to free ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, "Countries from all over the world have asked the United States if we could help free their ships. For the benefit of Iran, the Middle East and the United States, we have informed these countries that we will safely escort their ships out of these restricted waterways." Trump noted that this is a "humanitarian gesture," declared that the operation is named "Project Freedom" and added: "I am aware that my representatives are holding very positive discussions with Iran. If, in any way, they interfere with this humanitarian process, it will be necessary, unfortunately, to deal with this interference by force."
