About 1,000 Druze from Israel still in Syrian territory, most concentrated in Hadar village

|
About 1,000 young Israeli Druze are still in Syrian territory after crossing the border from Israel toward the Syrian-Druze village of Hadar from Majdal Shams. Most of the Druze who crossed have concentrated in the Hadar area, and the IDF is trying to block exit routes from the village southward toward deeper Syria and the as-Suwayda province to prevent complete loss of control and travel of Israelis to the Druze Mountain. Additionally, efforts continue to persuade the Druze to return to Israeli territory. The IDF is checking if there are also soldiers among the youths who crossed, and the military has instructed not to use exceptional measures such as gas and stun grenades and not to fire in the air to avoid risking injury or killing of the Druze protesters.
