Court orders police watchdog to review footage of officer pepper-spraying ultra-Orthodox protesters

The court ordered the Department for the Investigation of Police Officers to open an investigation into footage from yesterday, in which a police officer is seen spraying tear gas in the faces of ultra-Orthodox protesters sitting on the floor outside the home of the commander of the Traffic Division in Jerusalem. According to police procedures, spray may only be used against people who have been arrested.
