The Ministry of Health's hospital quality metrics report for 2024, which examines parameters and indicators in treatment provided by hospitals in the country, determines that hospitals performed well in meeting their targets. However, among the goals that service providers failed to meet: nutritional assessment for the elderly and the rate of colonoscopies in which at least one polyp was detected. It also found that the rate of patients readmitted to psychiatric hospitals is higher than the defined target, and that only about a quarter of infants are exclusively breastfed at the beginning of their lives, which is known to have health benefits for both the infant and mother.
