Edelstein against Bismuth: 'His goal is preserving the coalition, certainly not recruiting ultra-Orthodox'

Amir Ettinger|
Former Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Yuli Edelstein attended a Knesset discussion on the outline submitted by his successor Boaz Bismuth for the military service exemption law. According to Edelstein, "I tried to recruit, that's the objective function. The goal here is apparently to preserve the coalition, it is certainly not recruiting ultra-Orthodox to the IDF. Regarding the results of this legislation, if it passes - it will harm national security. It does not align with the IDF's values."
