Cairo is working to formulate a comprehensive deal to be implemented by the end of August." The report claimed that "Hamas has committed to keeping the hostages alive and expressed willingness to withdraw its fighters in exchange for an Israeli withdrawal to agreed-upon points." It was also stated that the terror organization "asked to stop Israel's plan to conquer Gaza, along with a written agreement with international guarantees that Israel will not return to war."
