The Knesset plenum rejected the proposal to dissolve the Knesset, following agreements reached between the ultra-Orthodox parties and the chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Yuli Edelstein. 61 Knesset members opposed the proposal, while 53 supported it. The proposal to dissolve the Knesset submitted by MK Ahmad Tibi was rejected, as well as similar proposals from Knesset members Boaz Toporovsky, Oded Forer, Walid Taha, Merav Michaeli, Naama Lazimi, Gilad Kariv, Pnina Tamano and a group of Knesset members. Deputy Minister Yaakov Tesler and MK Moshe Roth from Agudat Yisrael voted in favor of dissolving the Knesset, while MK Israel Eichler, chairman of the United Torah Judaism faction on behalf of Agudat Yisrael, opposed it.
