Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney apologized to U.S. President Donald Trump for an advertisement that aired containing implied criticism of his tariff policy. The ad featured a recording of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about tariffs. Trump called the move a "deceptive advertisement" and announced the end of trade talks with Canada. Carney told reporters: "I apologized to Trump for the advertisement during dinner in South Korea, he was hurt. I also didn't want to continue with the advertisement."
