Interior Minister Moshe Arbel has extended the deadline for filing compensation claims by landowners affected by the metro plans until August 3. The law stipulates that compensation claims following construction plans must be submitted within three years from the decision on the plan, but Arbel extended the deadline at the request of several organizations - including the Real Estate Appraisers Association - because the three-year period ended close to the time of the war with Iran - a period during which there was significant difficulty in completing the claims submission process on time.
