Following a wave of violence against drivers, the Transportation Workers' Union in 'Koach LaOvdim' has declared a labor dispute at Superbus company. In two weeks, drivers will be able to suspend routes in Jerusalem, Haifa, Afula, Tiberias and additional cities. The union claims that in the past month, 11 cases of severe violence against drivers and inspectors were recorded in Superbus alone, including the use of stones and tear gas, and that company management is not acting to eradicate the phenomenon. Koach LaOvdim called on the Ministry of Transportation and the police to increase their handling of violence and claim there are also violations of agreements regarding employment conditions and payments.
