US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who recently met with senior officials in Israel, said that the drift by European countries to recognize a Palestinian state would only create additional problems. "We told those countries, we told all of them, if you recognize a Palestinian state, where everything there is fake, you're going to create more problems," Rubio noted. He warned: "There's going to be a reaction to this, it's only going to make it harder to reach a ceasefire and it might even lead to attempts at countermeasures."
