The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced a former Israel Prison Service officer to 16 years in prison and ordered him to pay 290,000 shekels in compensation for committing serious sexual offenses against four of his wife's sisters about 17 years ago when they were minors. The court convicted the defendant of two counts of rape against his wife's youngest sister when she was nine years old, as well as indecent acts against her and three other sisters-in-law, who were also minors.
