Following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Iranian state media reported that a council comprising Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the judiciary Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei and a representative from the Guardian Council will temporarily assume leadership duties in the Islamic Republic.
