Foreign Minister Gideon Saar sent a letter to EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas, requesting to shelve the report prepared by the EU Commission warning that Israel violated international law, which could be considered a violation of Article 2 of the Association Agreement that anchors EU-Israel relations. Saar wrote to Kallas that "in the name of fairness, the flaws in the composition of the report should be addressed and it should be completely disregarded." In his letter, Saar complained that the report "completely ignores our detailed answers to the questions submitted to us." The assessment is that following Israel's successful operation in Iran, there is a reduced likelihood that EU foreign ministers meeting on Monday will reach any agreement on imposing sanctions on Israel.
