Two American energy giants, Chevron and Exxon Mobil, canceled plans to send senior executives to the largest oil exhibition in the United Arab Emirates, set to take place next week, due to security concerns. This was reported by two sources involved in the details to Reuters news agency. According to the sources, Exxon CEO Darren Woods was scheduled to participate in the conference in Abu Dhabi – known as ADIPEC – while Chevron was to be represented by Clay Neff, a division president at the company.
