NYC mayoral candidate: 'My victory - proof of outrage over genocide in Gaza'

Daniel Edelson, New York|
Democratic candidate for New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, again attacked Israel, claiming it is conducting a deliberate policy of starvation and committing genocide in Gaza. During an event held by the organization "Jews for Racial and Economic Justice," he said his primary victory is "proof that many in this city are outraged by the genocide being carried out by the Israeli military in Gaza, and by the violence perpetrated using weapons funded by our tax dollars." He claimed, "Every hour a Palestinian child is killed by the IDF. By the end of the month, millions will be on the brink of starvation if they are not already perishing. This is not accidental, but because of decisions made by the Israeli government and our government here."
